Honda’s most hardcore supercar is here to celebrate its final year of production, with a mild power boost, sharper chassis and upgraded aerodynamics.

Carbon-fibre finishes have been applied to the roof, front splitter, side skirts, rear lip spoiler and diffuser, joining steel front grille mesh (replacing resin), gloss black mirrors, door handles, exhaust tips and badging, and dark-tinted headlight and tail-light lenses.

Prices in the US will start from $US169,500 ($230,000) – a seven to eight per cent increase over the standard model, which last sold for $420,000 before on-road costs in Australia (translating to around $450,000 for the Type S locally, if it were to be offered here).
